Olivia Morales's 1st birthday!

On a beautiful Saturday in Whitter, I took a drive to Michigan Park to celebrate Olivia Morales's 1st birthday.
The park was packed. At least 5 other birthdays were taking place, I heard Ricky had to get there at 4 am to hold a spot!
I sat and ate with Grandma and Uncle Joel (Huera cooked!) and visited with Auntie Becky, Lisa, and the rest of the girls. There was a magician/face painting clown, cake, and lots of gifts.

Olivia fell asleep during the gift opening (or modeling session by her dad) and everyone had a good time. Perfect day for a party in the park!

In case you haven't heard...

Friday morning we got the official news: two boys on the way. Upon learning the news, Leesa's mom asked her dad, "so, they saw the wieners?"

Some Pix from Xmas Eve

This Christmas Eve we celebrated at Auntie Becky's. It was wonderful to see everyone, eat, and eat some more!
The Campas San Diego drove up for the occasion and then picked up Auntie Barbara to celebrate a lazy Christmas day in San Diego.
Here are some of the pics taken with my camera of all the cousins on Xmas eve.
Alaina took some fun candids of the Campas which I am sure she will post up soon.

Thanksgiving SD '08 and Diana's BDay

This Thanksgiving fell on My Mom's bday, so we had double the reason to celebrate!!
I brought Grandma and Auntie Barbara down with me for a delicious Turkey dinner.
Dad had to work for part of the day :( so we ate a lot later than usual. By 8pm I was so ansy that I made my sisters bring out board games to play.
My mom opened her birthday gifts and when it was finally time to eat, it was well worth the wait!!
Check out our family fun!

Two is better than one

OK, so for a while now I've been waiting to tell everyone how Leesa and I are expecting our next child. We found out a few weeks ago, as we were rehearsing my first show at Laguna Blanca, but Leesa wanted to wait to tell people until after the first doctor visit. Well, it turned out to be a good idea. Leesa told the doctor that she felt much sicker than she did the first time, and had already begun putting on weight when she hadn't put on a pound until the second trimester the first time around. When he turned on the ultrasound, the doctor instantly said, "well, here's why you're sicker - there's two of them in there." Sure enough, two separate zygotes and placentas sitting there on the screen for everyone to see.

Due dates are apparently fuzzier with twins, since the average twin birth gestates 35 weeks, plus we're doing another planned caesarian, but it looks like it will be sometime in June. I will get some pictures up once I get access to a scanner.

Hanna's initial reaction was very similar to Leesa's - she was quiet for a long minute, then volunteered, "well, taking care of TWO babies is a lot of work!" We've learned to expect interesting quotes from her, though. When we explained that the doctor had to cut open Leesa's tummy in order to get her out, she said, "It seems like that would make you die."

Names are already being bandied about - I was denied my inital request to name one "Walker" and the other "Texas Ranger."
